about me

Being a photographer helps me keep life quirky, spontaneous, and genuine....along with keeping the little things I see now, from escaping me someday. This is exactly what I hope to share with you.

Photography is more than just a job for me. It's how I show you how beautiful you are...simply being you.

I'm also an Occupational Therapist, currently working with people who have Alzheimer's Disease. So, I know that true beauty is so much more than what we see on the outside....and how important memories are. I will not be asking you to smile or say "cheese" during your session. I like to keep it relaxed without any unrealistic expectations. I will, however, try to break you out of your shell to see what you're all about. I've been known to do that. (grin)

My photography style.....well, I've never been accused of being fussy or fancy and love my clients to come to me showing individuality rather than decked out in matching outfits. I love color, layers of texture, tousled hair, kids that dress themselves, and freedom to express.

I would say that my likes fall somewhere between vintage and fresh modern. I'm country meets city, meadow meets textural architecture. I shoot primarily in natural light and will base our sessions accordingly. My prints and custom photo art are meant to be ordered large and creatively displayed in your home.

Some random facts about me:

I have two of the most energetic kids on the planet.....so, I'm well on my way to perfecting the 'action shot.' (so, your kids will not scare me....I promise)

I'm the girl who eats the food that my friends and family say "ewe yuck" to.

I refuse to be a 'list person' and am not at all a neat freak, but am a little OCD about being on time.

I love music.....of the rock variety...old rock and new alternative rock.

I'm not afraid to be goofy or try new things (a warning to you....before the session).

I think there's nothing sweeter than my kids belly-laughter.

I need people in my life who make me laugh to the point of uncontrolled facial expression...then laugh harder because of it.

I try not to sweat the small stuff but think life is all about the little things.

I can't wait to meet you.
We will have fun, I assure you.
